Last Day of Class

Today we all completed our SERT test. After, we had a little pot luck to celebrate our last day of class, as well as Dr. Rivera's birthday. It's so amazing how time flies by so fast and the semester is actually over. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet all of you, and I wish you all luck in your final composition, as well as your SERT test. I'm crossing my fingers we all made it through. If not, at least myself, I hope I can have Dr. Rivera for my instructor again if I don't make it. Otherwise, I hope to see you guys in EN110. Take care and good luck in all your future endeavors. Dr. Rivera, thank you for all your guidance and support this semester. Without you, I don't think I would have made it through this semester.

I am so happy this is the last day. I did enjoy our evenings together, but everything must come to an end. I hope we all move on to our next English test. Everyone enjoy the food, because I know I will. I have not eaten dinner. I also hope to be employed soon.

Hey everyone if you would like to know ( which you probably don't) I was sick last week and I've been on recovery since then nothing serious, just enough to get me out of class. Well I am back and not so ready to get back to work. So far since all of my essays are done I have been slacking off. Now that the topics are out I can become motivated to pass the final and move on to EN110. Well so far I have been brainstorming a subtopics for each main topic that was given. Well Well

Hello,
Well we are so close. I am so excited. I am looking forward to having some free time in the evening to start Zhumba again, but it will be short lived. I already started to register for my classes and they fall once again on the same nights as Zhumba. I guess I should start that P90X that has been sitting on my shelf for months then. I am ready for the essays. I feel pretty confident now, but I was a little uncertain last week. I had to make myself focus and relax. I think it has worked. I really hope I am not going to jinx myself after writing this post. I feel I have the worst luck at time. Is everyone going to bring something to eat next week for Dr. Rivera's birthday? I think maybe we should get a list or something together if we want to go ahead with the party. I am always up for some food. I hope everyone has a great Turkey day tommorow speaking of food. Personally I am going to be glad when it is over and done with. When you have to do all the cooking and it is gone and you look at all the dishes in fifteen minutes it is a little nerve wrecking. Teenage Dream

Good evening everyone and Happy Pre-Thanksgiving day. I am saying that because I will not see any of you tomorrow (unless we are actually related, in which hello relatives) because I will be spending it with my family and labtop (the labtop is not part of the family anymore but we still welcome him at the house time to time). It's actually my day off tomorrow so it'll be really nice for once to not have school and work. Today we did a student survey about mygcc. I like mygcc, I just feel like it's need to be upgraded. The program reminds me of my mail.com days. I don't know if anyone still remember that site since everyone is so "hot" these days. I am currently doing outlines for the three topics. I find it easier to do an essay with an outline due to it laying down the infrastructure of what I want to write. I wouldn't mind having topics one and two, but topic three is a real thinker. Hopefully we'd get atleast topics one or two to choose from. Thats all for now folks. Shamagloo!

Busy in my Eng Class

Arived in class just about 7:30 before my 8-930pm class start, just enough time to my English class folder and organize it. Right after I did m Eng folder oganizing I did a in class survey that has been pass on to all the students in class. Finaly my 8 till 9 has begun , atleast I do have to worry about being late becuase I am siting here in writting my blog Oh I mean this blog! Yeah thats right, I watched Harry Potter during the midnight premiere. The movie was awesome but in return I only had 5 hours of sleep. Anything for those mudbloods ey? Well back to today. I really don't know where everyone is right now, but I hope they come by wednesday to know whats up. Dr. Rivera gave us our final three essay topics and I was actually suprised. I was expecting more complex topics that would give me a headache, but i'd take this. It was more general that I think everyone will not have so much of a difficult writing, as to making it great enough to pass the class. I will be working on the three topics these weekend. Today we have to finish our essays. I'm finally done with my free writing essay. I'm worry about the Final Composition. I have to work harder. I also have to study harder if I want to pass my SERT. It's so stressing thinking about it, but I got to have faith if I want to pass this class.

The topics

I am really having a hard time focusing on anything this evening. I dont normally let personal issues affectmy work, but it is overwhelming for me right now. I need to go home and curl up in bed with my husband. My kids are always sleeping when I get home so I cant cuddle with them. I guess I am going to be writing all week. I keep telling myself to focus, but my brain is not listening. Stupid brain. I am ready to get all of this over with so it will be one less thing to worry about.

Hello everyone,
Well we are almost finished with the semester. I am excited because I am ready to start new classes. We got our topic results and I am confident that I will do well. I hope so atleast. I am praying for a better week. Last week was not kind to me at all. I am just very anxious about all the upcoming events. My husband is also waiting to find out if he made his advancement. Deathly Hallows

My topic titles are usually the ones that are in my head them moment I type my title so that explains that. Today feels empty. I don't know what it is, but it certaintly feels empty. Just doing our En100w prompt essay. These essays topics are pretty difficult, because it's hard to related to one. I hope the final essay topics are easier to relate to, so I can do my research easily. Hope the best luck of to all you guys. I really want to pass this class.

Schools going to end soon and its so stressing. Not much people came in today, I guess, because of the rain. I was absent last class so I was a bit confused with what we were suppose to do, but I'm on track now. I just need to finish my cover pages for my essays and I'm done :)

I really have to do my Prompt Essay, because I know that I won't have time tomorrow to finish it. I also still have to review for our SERT, I'm so stressed right now. Luckily my Mom bought me a medicine called "Memo Plus", it's a medicine that helps your memory and mind function right, I hope it works. But of course I won't depend on it 100%, I'll try to bring my book at work so I can study.

My fifth essay and the next one

I'm finishing my fifth essay but the next one is kind a hard. The essay about the prompt, I don't really know what to write on that essay.

Sick again....

There must be something brewing in the air again or maybe it's just the weather but my kids & I are sick again. Where Was I?

Good evening everyone. I apoligize for not making Wednesday classes last week for I was abucted by aliens and had to miss class...not. I had to go to Chamorro Village for some class work. I know it sounded like I skipped class, but I wasn't. I was actually doing some class work inspecting the different food vendors and what not. During the time I was away though, I finished my essay and Krystal just peer edited it. I will be praying and studying for my cert test and hopefully we all pass the final composition and the SERT test. As much as I like seeing all you guys every mondays and wednesday, I want to get my generals out of the way. Generals out equal less stress and more major classes. Thats about it for today. YEAH

Well today was an okay day in my favorite class. All we had to do was write another essay to practice for the final SERT that is coming up real soon. But we have done a lot of writing in this class so we all should be ready for that test, but I do have to say there is something about the word TEST that makes me a little nervous. I don't know if that is just me. Over all I think that I am ready so that is all that counts to me. So I will see you guys on Wednesday for another episode of the BLOG.

FINALS AND SCARED

Tonight I have a massive headache on thinking on what to write. Oh my I'm really scared on what to write. My brain isn't cooperating with me. Its to a point were I'm totally blank and I forgot how to write essays. I feel like I'm back in high school having to take a dual enrollment at U.O.G and had to take the placement test. The description on how we have to choose one topic out of three to write about.
Oh gosh I'm really scared. Even with the Prompt Question that was given tonight for a practice. I'm having a hard time because of my mind is totally blank.
Well, I'm just going to sleep on it so i can have an idea on what to write about.

Countdown

I am glad we are nearing the end of our semester. I have enjoyed the class, but I am ready to move on. I was unaware of a free writing essay. I started the one for tonight and had over a page into my writing and I erased it by accident. I am frustrated now and I do not want to continue tonight. Today has been a grueling day. I am tired and I want to curl up in my bed and disappear for a day. I need a vacation away from reality for just a little while. Has anyone registered for next semester. I am trying to, but I am waiting on my transcripts to come in from Florida. Does anyone have some chocolate? I am hungry and craving a milky way. I suppose I have rambled enough for tonight. I hope everyone does amazing on our upcoming tests.

Today we have to do another essay, A Prompt Essay about "The Insular Empire". This is hard because I have no idea what to write. I'm not even done with my free writing essay, my mind isn't functioning right, maybe I'm just exhausted from work. Hopefully I'll finish it this Wednesday. After tonight's discussion regarding the final composition and SERT test, I suddenly got a massive headache. I find it difficult to write when given an essay prompt rather picking a topic of choice and writing about it. I'm glad to hear though that we will be given the topics ahead of time so we can do our research on what it is we want to write about. I hope the topics are interesting. I find it easier to write when it is a topic of interest. I want to wish my classmates luck on your final composition as well as your SERT test.

new essay

The new essay is kind of hard for me, because I don't really have any idea the Insular Empire. I've read a blog about it, but it doesn't really give that much information.

So to today I went to class early to get my essay done. I won't be showing up for my regular class time due to a car ride situation. But I finished up my essay, so that's great I won't have to worry about that one. Now I just got to focus and prepare for the upcoming final in December. Finally submitted my final draft of my persuasive paper. What a relief now I can breathe a bit before the final essay. Well, tonight I finished my paper then started to work on vocabulary online that was difficult but fun and challenging. Good night see you all Monday.

The weekend!!

The weekend is here for some of us. Oh hay! Time to get stuff done, if I couldn't do it in class. Today all I did was make my cover pages for each of my essays. I just received my last essay, which my argumentative. I'm just going to finish that up when I get home. As I finished my cover pages I continued my work in class by practicing for the SERT. Vocabulary Building Online

The Vocabulary is not that hard. The problem is you have sto use ten or more vocabulary word to make a short essay.

What's going on everyone, can you guys believe that the semester is almost over? But I don't really know anyone in this class. I know maybe one or two of the people that are in this class. Oh well there is always next semester. I am going to be sad when the semester is over (laughing). Today I finally got my essay done, now I can just study for the final composition. This evening I started off class with creating coversheets for my essays. Next, I started on the vocabulary building online activity, and was getting frustrated because I had some many errors. Most of the vocabulary words in this activity I have never even heard before, and to think this is 9th-12th grade games. I'm having difficulty picking a topic for the words I got incorrect, so I decided to take a break and do an entry for my blog this evening. I wonder if anyone has the same problem as me. Today was a really good day. I did some the vocabulary on the grade game website. Some of those words was really hard, and I had to write almost all of it but that's okay. I had lots of fun today! Take care all of you and drive home safely.

Hello Wednesday and Goodbye

I had a great week, and I hope everyone else did as well. I got a new baby on Monday. His name is Grunt. We got him from GAIN and I am not sure of what mix he is, but I think he is adorable. They said he was a mix between Shae Pei and some kind of bull dog. I have finished all my papers except our final reflection and I am going to start on it this evening. I also need to make cover sheets for all of my essays. I hope everyone is coming along or finished. I cant wait till next semester. I am ready for new challenges. It could have been better

Class was alright today. We had to continue with the usual work, our argumentative, blog, and review for the sert test. I felt rushed when Crystal told me the paper was due today. I had help over the weekend with my argumentative essay. I was glad to get that done over the weekend because I took my time in class doing other assignments. All I had to do was get my peer review, revise it, then send it to Dr. Rivera for more revising. Hopefully by tonight I'll be done. Looks like my time's up see you later.

Due.. OMG

Oh my gosh.... I walked in to class tonight and Dr. Rivera asked if I submitted my essay didn't realize that it was due tonight so I continued to work on my essay however I don't feel it's ready for submission. I guess this will be my first essay that I will submit LATE. Like the old saying goes there's a first to everything. On the contrary, I'm hoping to finally pass this class for it is the one class I need to achieve my certificate.

Another cold day in class.

Even if I sat on the end of the row, I was still cold to make it worse I forgot my jacket. I forgot to blog in last class, didn't really do much, because the power went out, although I still checked if we had class and ended up waiting 30 minutes to check if the power would go on. After Dr. Matilda let us go. I'm finally done with my 4th essay so thats out of my way now I have to review for the sert test.

Time Skip

I swear I didn't see you guys last class. Haha. Last class was weird because there was no lights. Kind of creepy since we're in a school and anything goes. Well just been writing my last essay then off to review and study for the SERT test. I really hope to pass the final essay and the SERT test. I'm kind of scared but who isn't. I'm sorry I missed class last Monday because I was out sick. Thanks Crystal for doing a peer review for my fourth essay. Unfortunately due to the island wide power outage we were unable to have class last Wednesday. I wasn't sure if it was indeed islandwide, but when I passed the campus it was dark, so I just turned around and went back home. Thank goodness I was able to forward my fourth essay to Dr. Rivera this evening for final review. I sure hope I get a good feedback on my final essay. I hope all of you are doing well.

I finally finished my fourth essay. It took me about 5 hours to finish my essay yesterday, but I think it's still kind a short. It's only a three page essay because my topic is kind a hard.

Power Outage

On this day we stayed in class for thirty minutes. We chatted with one another and left when it hit 8:00.

Hey, I attend the early class yesterday, at first it was peaceful everything was going so well, but then the crazy power and glitches started happening which made the class more difficult to handle for most of us, as for me not really I didn't get to post my blog so that was just the meaningless part, but other than that the other pretty seem to have it hard on them because some was working on their fourth essay. Well, atleast you section 13(our class) didn't have class, but all is well. Anyways, during class I did the Vocabulary Building Online Activity, it was pretty much okay I knew majority of the words, and I also finished with the one or two parragraph for the misspelled words, surprisingly I only got 4 mistake out of the four levels that we had to do. [It was actually 6 but 2 words were the same so I counted them as one.]Crazy Vocab words were confusing, but I get it now. Well other than that, I'm just wait for my fourth essay to be done peer reviewing. "Rod if your done doing my peer review on my essay just put inside my folder. Okay? Thanks." And by the way" Tarryn your essay I finished peer reviewing your essay its inside your folder. I wish I had a Wii Fit, I always wanted one, hopefully for Christmas."

I am finished with my vocabulary paper. I feel smarter already. The words on there are kind of tricky. I enjoyed the practice. I feel like I have increased my word bank. I had an extremely productive day at home. I cleaned, moved furniture around, and laundry. I think I will go to K-Mart when I leave here. I want to see if there are any sales. Monday

Today, I worked on my 4th essay, I was absent last class so I only got to work on it now. I'm so glad I'm almost done and class is going to end, because I have a huge headache. I sat on the corner where it wasn't cold and I guess I'll be sitting at this spot from now on, I feel more comfortable and makes me concentrate on my paper more. Hey everyone,
I finally finish writing my fourth essay, all I need to do now is type it, print it, peer review it, send it, edited it again, and WALA finish. ah ah. That's a long process, but how cares I can wait.
Well anyways, today we just talked about the fourth essay which is Argumentative Essay and different topics. After that, I started to work on my essay. (I'm so relief I'm done.)
Now I need to concentrate on my passing the SERT and the FINAL. (ahhhh... I'm scared.)

Wow!, class today went by really fast, for me at least. Today I just did a little bit of researching on what topic that I should write about for the last essay. I think that I want write about the death penalty. This seems like an interesting topic to me. But I will see what I can find out about this thing.

Good evening everyone. How is everyone doing today? I am okay, pretty okay, okay as it can be. For some reason I've been going to class pretty early now, I don't know why, I just do it. Today we discuss our fourth essay which was an argumentative essay. In my opinion this will be a pretty tough one for me like the expository essay, but like what Journey sang: "Don't Stop Believing." My topic was the 1920's Golden Age of Sports and their figures and how they influence the sports they played in. I'm very comfortable with this because a quarter of me is a sports fan. I am actually 25% chocoholic, 25% sports fan, 26% wannabe chef and 100% awesome! Hope you guys have a great weekend, I will miss you guys...well not really because I hardly know most of you guys. Today we are starting our 4th essay and so far I haven't come up with a topic. I don't know whether to choose the same topic as everyone student in the class and write it better than them so that the professor can recognize me more or to just ponder of a topic to separate myself from the them and be unique. I'm gonna start my fourth essay today but I need to finish my third essay first

Tonight was awesome. I finished my fourth essay and emailed it doctor Rivera. I also edited my revisions on my third from Dr. Rivera. I feel like today was a productive evening. I just wish I did not have so much cleaning to do when I get home. Ugh I really hate cleaning up after five people, but I guess it could be worse. Well everyone have a great nigh and drive safely.

Good evening everyone. Just finished writing my third essay and it's in the process of being peer-edited. I had fun writing this narrative essay. I really just went with the flow on whats in my head. Due to the five page limit, I'd have to do a shorten version of what my vision of the story really was, but I'm planning on doing the full story...one day. I'll probably post it up somewhere. Hope you guys are okay. December is closing in quickly and the final exam is right around the corner. Hopefully we all pass and then take EN110 and pass that class. Partner Forgets MY Paper!

Today I came to class excited to finish up my third essay that I have been working on. But only to find out, that my partner took it home and forgot to bring to class tonight. I was bummed that my partner forgot, but I just couldn't dwell on it. So, i moved on into my fourth essay, which is on Pros and Cons. I haven't really found out what I'm going to write about just yet. But, when I do, I will tell you guys what is it.

Fall 2010

Tonight I Finalized my narrative essay and submitted my midterm self reflection. I just handed my essay for peer review and hope to submit to Dr. Rivera before the end of class. I've yet to decide what my argumentative essay will be about. Need to think fast before all the topics are taken.

I forgot to bring my jacket again! ugh it's so cold, but good thing I'm finally done with my third essay, and currently working on my fourth. I'm worried about my other classes, because we only have a month and a couple of days until school ends. I hope I pass all my classes.

Finally turn in my Narrative essay. Now I'm working on my last essay, Argumentative Essay. I'm going to be writing about "Gay Marriage". No I'm not Gay, I want to write about it, because all state and country should allow gay people to get married, no matter what their religions are if that makes them happy, let them be happy. Not only straight normal marriage have happiness but also Gay people.

Thank goodness I was able to finish my narrative essay. Hope fully,I did it correctly. I'm just waiting for my peer review, make any revisions if necessay, and send to Dr. Rivera for her final review. As always, I hope there is not a lot of revisions to be made.

Anyhow, I did decide on a topic for my persuasive essay, "Wii Fit." I hope you guys find it entertaining as much I do. After tonight's discussion on the "EN100W Evaluation Form/ Rubric," I'm kind of nervous on how I do on my final composition, not to mention the SERT test as well.

Today we received a Rubric Paper. All we have to do today is finalize our Narrative Essay. I don't have anything to do because I'm done with all my work. I'm just waiting for Dr. Rivera to send me her correction on my essay.

Surprisingly I finished my Narrative and Reflection PapErs. I didn'tGO last meeting, so I'm kind a lost, but luckily Dr. Rivera told me what they did last class. So now I just have to send my papers to Dr. Rivera's email, then I will be done. I'm so happy because it's such a relief to know that I am done with all my homework in this class.

Yes! Today is Wednesday and one more day to go. And that means the weekend and you know what that means. That means that you still have to wake up tomorrow and go to work. The Rangers won again today beating the Yankees 10-3. Man that was a awesome game that is if your a Ranger fan. Rangers are going all the way this post season. About class today, it went well and I was able to turn in my midterm self-reflection on time and continuing to work on my story.

Tonight I worked on my self reflection and I am worried that I may not pass this class once again. I must admit working a full time job, having a family to care for, and going to school is a challenge on the other hand I must add that I am definitely trying. After taking this class four times I'm hoping that I finally pass especially that it is the only one class which holds me back from furnishing my certificate.

editorial..

Today I worked on my editorial so I can finally submit it, I know so late right? I didn't get to work on my essay because of that, but its okay. I have the rest of the night to work on my essay and Mid-term self reflection paper thats due on Wednesday. It was a cold day again and I so forgot to bring my jacket, so I ended up sitting on the other side of the room.

Nighty night

Tonight was a good night. I continued on my narrative essay and believe it or not it's not done, considering that I am already half way through my second page and I have not yet double spaced. I think by the time I am done it will be a novel. Sorry, I missed last weeks classes however between my sons and I we were all sick. We went to see a doctor on Monday and the doctor prescribed me Motrin 600mg and some rest. On the other hand my sons both had their asthma and common flu which has been going round. So just trying to get better and back in the swing of things. See you all Wednesday.

Back to Class

So today, I played catch up. I submitted my essay and editorial that was due like last week. So late. Better late than never. I hope I atleast get some kind of grade, other than a zero. Once again, my mind is blank. I don't know what to write for my narrative essay. Anyone have ideas for me? Help.

Issues...

Hey guys. Good evening. Well not really for me. Everything until like 6 o' clock was great. My microsoft word at home isn't working, which prevented me from working on my essay and a deal of great work due for my class Tuesday. So I'm screwed for awhile, but I will still find a way to work on a draft for my essay at home and over here at the class at the same time. My midterms for my culinary class is tomorrow, so I'll be sleepless tonight studying my anus off. Forgot MY Jacket Again

Why did i forget my jacket again? Tonight's class was super cold. Anyways, our mid-term reflection is due next class session, which is Wednesday. So happy we dont have to make people edit it, saves so much time like that and less work to do. I'm almost finish with my third essay. I need to start being a little more responsible with my assignments. Hope i finish everything on time.

So I miss last Wednesday night of class and I feel as if I missed a lot. Although the assignment of the day was to finish up on our narratives. Anyways I just heard today that I still have to turn in my editorial (which I never thought of doing since I never came up with an idea) and that we have a mid-term self-reflection paper. Well it seems like I have a lot of catching up to do. So far I don't have the motivation to start on any of these anytime soon. Hopefully I can shake off this laziness and get to work.

I hope everyone had a safe and productive weekend. I went to Haputo beach and bowling. The hike to the beach was brutal, and I dont recommend going there. It was beautiful and relaxing once you finally made it down though. I just finished my mid-term self reflection and I need to start my last essay. It is jut not flowing from my mind as I had anticipated. HopefullyI will make some progress on my topic soon because it is frustrating me. Today class we had to start on our third essay for the semester. I figured out what I'm going to do already. I didn't really finish my essay because I'm still figuring out what to put in my essay. Also, I think I need to bring a jacket next time. It was super cold in class.

Another class day has ended and man it was so cold today, I didn't to work on my essay much, because I was cold.. speaking of essay I had to do my 3rd essay two times ugh it makes me mad! Good evening everybody. Nice to see everybody back from the holiday monday, even though it was not actually a holiday at GCC. Today we went over our events for the last two months of class. This got me thinking on how fast the semester has gone by and we need to have some sort of party or something because I still don't know like half of you guys even though we go classes together. So is that suppose to be the college experience? If so, then bleh, but whatever. I'm currently brainstorming and outlining my narrative essay. I really want this to be epic. My last blog told you about the idea of my essay and today I was probably going into like a Scott Pilgrim vs. the World type of story. If you don't what that is, just google or askjeeves (who still uses that? honeslty) it and you'll know what I mean. I'm thinking of going above the minimum of the two pages and probably go around 2-3 pages so I can lay out the characters nicely. Hope ya'll are all right with your essays and ya. Nighty night.

This evening Dr. Rivera went over with the class the criteria for our Mid-Term and Final Self-Reflection Paper. She also went through the Calendar of Events for the remaining class days to insure that we are all in line with what was expected of us. I honestly didn't think I would have made it this far with this class. I'm so happy I stayed because like Dr. Rivera mentioned time is going by really fast and before you know it, it's the end of the semester. Hopefully I am able to complete what is required and I pass this course.

Day 16: Working on it

Hey everybody I know what your thinking where is Rod? Or maybe not, because there are a handful of us in class compared to the beginning and not that much people really talk to each other other than there neighbors. Anyways Dr. Rivera if you are reading this I do apologize not showing up today I know I am missing some awesome information that would benefit the class. Well I was not here on Monday, but I hated to miss class. I have been sick and not feeling 100%. I hope everyone had a great class. I am finished with my first three essays and I am starting on my fourth. I am still undecided on what topic. Everything I want to write about is very controversial. I will figure it out soon.

Day 15: Getting there

Well today the class and I just reviewed over some notes about narrative essays. It was very helpful, it gave me a better understanding on how to have a good body structure for my paper. With the help I am going through my rough draft with a little bit of ease. It is not yet done but hopefully by the end of the day I will go to bed having draft one finished. Today is such a rainy day. It's so cold. I'm even wearing a jacket and jean; and I'm still cold. Gosh Guam's weather is so unpredictable. Well anyways, today we just talked about narrative essay and prompts. Speaking of narrative, I'm almost done typing it out, I hope to finish typing it so I can make rod read it and send it to Dr. Rivera and start on my argumentative essay. Hey, where is everyone? Didn't they get the memo on facebook that there IS school today? Oh well, there's enough people in here to start an English Essay Party!! I really don't know what happens in those parties because I never got invited to those....... Enough about my sad-party-less life. Today we read about Narrative Essay and got some prompts to get us starting. I'm quite excited about this type of essay, since I like telling stories, which is also a problem. Seeing as I can write any story, I'm still brainstorming on the idea. I do have one in my head that i'm just tryin to write in paper first. I got inspired by one of our classmates, Krystal (hope I spelled that right, sorry if I didn't) and one of my good friends, Julian who are both dancers. Right now is about a guy who wants to learn how to dance so he can hook up with this one chick. He goes on to this wonderful, totally fictional adventure. It's going to have a good moral ending to it. Ooops. Did I just start outlining my essay on this blog? Nice! So yeah, initially the title of the essay would be "The Guy Who Want to Learn How to Dance So He Can Hook Up with This One Chick." and I was seriously thinking of sticking with that, but I decided to change it to "I Can Dance!!!" It's going to be mindblowing, I just need to start drafting it. Wish me luck.

Hey everyone how you guys doing today? I always forget my sweater for this class because it's super cold. My other classes are okay I suppose (temperature). Day 14: Writer's block

Well today is the first day I started on my narrative essay. So far I have my plot, characters, and setting, but yet I can not seem to type my introduction. I am thinking of that one perfect sentence to really catch the viewer's attention. I know it is best to just write and review it after, but I always have a habit of just correcting my mistakes on the spot. Hopefully I will be able to think of one as soon as possible, because I don't want to worry about it over the weekend. Today, I had extra work to do, because I missed class on Monday, but its okay. I was thinking of joining the the Halloween contest essay thing, but I changed my mind, its too much work, I'm busy with work and school to top it off studying for my math test next week. sigh. Man what weird weather we have today. It was pouring like it was 2012 on the way here and I was thinking of where all those people in the smoke area at GCC are at. I hope they had a place to smoke and such. I don't know why I was thinking about that mainly because everytime I get dropped of for this class at night, the weather is okay and they're at the smoke zone. Okay enough about that. Today was the due date for the editorial and the second essay. Finshed my second essay last class and just finished and sending my editorial to Dr. Rivera. My editorial was about the important of washing your hands, which is really important. I hope the weather isn't as bad as it was in the beginnning. That's about it. No jokes or whatever. I'm finally done with my Editorial Essay, I'm just waiting for Dr. Rivera's correction. For my fourth essay I might title it " Princess in the Middle Age", it's about a Princess who has to run away home to escape the marriage that her mother has for her and to find his brother King Arthur, whose body disappeared after the battle. I found an interest on this story because no one knows if King Arthur really did existed and she said it can be fictional so I decided to add on the story of King Arthur. It also talks about the life of a princess have, though she is loyalty and free from war, she is still imprisoned by her mother's decision. HoPe this story works out

What to write about?

I am ahead because I had to write a paper over. I dont know where to begin with the next essay.I am so tired and I am having a hard time focusing on my work. I am thinking about my bed. I am also very hungry. The airport extended a contingent offer for work today. I am very excited and I hope it goes through. I need something more to do. I anyone has any ideas about the next essay let me know.

Today is my first day in class since last week and man am I behind they had another assignment that was due today that I did not know about. Some kind of editorial or something like that. But that is my fault for not showing up to class. I was really sick well I have been sick but then I got a flu shot on Saturday. Like we all know that when you get a flu shot you actually get the flu. Then on Monday the flu got worst and I just stayed home because I knew that I got sick from the flu shot.

Today is the deadline for our 2nd essay and editorial assignment. I'm so grateful that Dr. Rivera gave us time to work on these two assignments during today's class session. I was able to finalize my editorial with some minor changes. I sure hope I get a good feedback from Dr. Rivera. My next task is to figure out what my topic will be for my narrative essay. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to write a story, but when you talk about one it's a different story. Wish me luck!

What did I do in Class Today

I steped into my English class around 8:12 to 9:30, during my class time I went online in the computer. As I went to my email I pulled out my Rivised Discriptive Essay, and reviewed it for atlest fithteen minutes. Next work on my revised essay for atleast 3o minuste of corecting, then went onto note taking about and event happening this week Oct/6 about Govenor election ,held at GCC Aditorum around 6pm to 7:30pm. All GCC student are requested to attend freely.

Day 13

Oh hay! How is everybody this weekend? Hope it turned out great. As for me it was fine just being around friends and family, especially with my brother Rodney. He just flew in from San Diego a couple days ago for our Dad's one year death anniversary. It's nice to have the family together again, I just wish that it wasn't because of a tragedy. Well anyways going back to the class life, we are still working on our informative essays and editorial. I am glad that I have finally finished with my essays and now I just have to worry about my editorial and getting started on my narrative well hope you guys are in the same boat as me. It's nice for being back here in this cold classroom. Well, I finally finished with my informative essay and also my editorial. My editorial is about the legal drinking age is useless, because no matter the legal age is several people will never have the responsible to drink and drive. Well, other then that for my Narrative essay I think I'm going to write about How the DanzJazz Concert made me feel. Thanks Rod (for giving me that idea) I was also thinking of it before he mentioned it, but as for now I am not really sure. I'm still doubting my topic. ugh this is going to be hard. I am so tired right now. I feel like my head is so heavy and my work is not even half way done. I need to finish it tomorow night so I can send it to Dr. Rivera for editing. However, my editorial is done. Yah!!!

Finished my essay

Well I hope I am all finished. I sent my essay to Dr. Rivera. I am hoping it meests the proper standard this time. I had to redo my essay last week, but that is alright. It was a learning experience. I have to type my editorial. I left my papers at home to finish my topic.I will finish tommorow. I have a test tommorow for TSA. I dont know what information they are testing on but I will find out tommorow.

I think I am not going to make it for the death line of our second essay, because I lost my flash drive and my essay its inside my flash drive, so I don’t have choose I just restart on my second essay today and I will try to finish it before Wednesday. Hope she will give me some more time to revise it.

Finally, I finished my Informative Essay. My partner is peer editing it. I'm also half way done with my Narrative Essay, which is a good thing. It is about a life of a Princess during the Middle Age. And for my editorial essay, I'm not quite done yet. This week I have to do a lot of homework but I try to finish it all on time.

Dr. Rivera instructed the class to continue working on our 2nd essay and when we are finished with peer review, the next step is to email her a copy so she can edit as well. She also reminded the class that both our editorial as well as our 2nd essay is due on Wednesday, the day after tomorrow. I've completed my 2nd essay with my peer review, and I just need to make revisions as needed then I can proceed with my editorial. I have no idea what my subject will be for my editorial. I sure hope I will be able to complete this assignment on time.

Finally I found a topic

I finally made up my mind about my second essay topic. It's about a beer bong, not that I do this sort of thing everyday but, It's what I chose.

Today I reviewed my sample Sert test believe it or not I scored an 84% which is passing however I have taken and passed the Sert test before therefore I don't need to take it anymore. Lucky me!
I also continued working on my essay #2 and believe it or not today was one of my best days I actually got a lot done compared to other days. However, I must continue and finalize before I do peer editing and submit a final paper. I hope my eagerness continues.

Essay number Two

I think my essay is going to super long. I am doing an essay on the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. I don't know for some reason I have always been facinated by Greek and Egypt. I love to learn about their history. So any way I am only writing about the first location of the seven and it is already a page. I think I will have to pick one and write all about that.

Hey guys. Good evening. Today was pretty laid back. I got my email from Dr. River saying I HAVE TO REDO MY ESSAY. It was a bummer, but thats life. You just have to learn from your mistakes and be a better person, or a better essay. I know that sounds cliche, but it is true (which is also cliche). We also brought our editorials in class today, I bought an old PDN and shared the second half of that to Rod, who is my good friend since we were 5. Bad choice. Looking at my first half of the editorial, I saw that the article was in chamorro. Chamorro. I mean I took chamorro classes since I was in elementary but nothing could prepare me for that. I do wish I understand Chamorro so I can read the article, luckily there was a second article on the left side of that page about the liberation day parade and how to be safe on that day. That is about it, my day off is tomorrow and I'm going to the mall for my class so it doesn't get any better than that. Tonight in class.

I have to write another informative essay. I am fine with that because I really enjoy writing. I hope this topic is easier for me to finish this essay in a timely fashion. I am researching the information and I am actually studying about the topic in another class. We went over editorials this evening and we have to write one for next week. Another day

Today and yet again I was late hehe and I was just sitting outside the whole time. I brought in a newspaper so I can work on my editoral, but I decided to work on my second essay instead, because Dr. Rivera says we can have the weekend to do it.

Day 11 and 12

Day 11:
Oh hay! just finished my 2nd draft informative paper now all I got to do is wait for the teacher to edit it and finish my informative paper. Oh that was one problem off my shoulder's, I am slowly catching up ^_^. Well anyways I am doing okay in the class just like everyone else. I was glad when I found out my progress now I just need to keep it up and hopefully pass this course.

Day 12:
Reading the editorial was okay. Thanks to Batman the article he gave me really caught my attention. The article talks about Steven LeFever, resident of Dededo. His topic " Alcohol laws hurt nightlife culture", being nineteen I enjoy being in the clubs or bar having nice cold beer after a hard day from work. Unfortunately with the new drinking law I can't have those moments again unless I'm at a friends house who is twenty-one year old. It's nice to drink at a friend's house too, but I prefer being out there meeting new people as I am with my friends. I am what you call "a safe driver", before the the transition of the new law I would always make sure that I had designated driver or I was sober enough to drive my friend's home. Not saying that the new law is unfair or anything it's just reading this article made me think, what if the law was passed two years ago? Would the tragic accident of Ramon Oberiano, a nineteen year boy still happen today? Would he be sober while driving? Not only that the new law has change the lifestyle of others, but what's going to happen to the alcohol-serving businesses? So far from what I know The Venue, Club/bar lounge in Maite was recently closed down, what's next denials? after 5? Well I don't know what's going to happen next but until next time everyone have a good weekend and be safe.

Today we had to bring our Editorial Paper, which I totally forgot. I'm not even done with my "Informative Essay", I really want it detailed so it's taking me time to finish. Our editorial and informative essay are due Wednesday, I got to hurry. I'm so frustrated because all of my class have homework, especially my Math Class. That's why I got to stay up late to try to finish all my homework...

We have a teacher and student conference today, our teacher was talk to each of the student and shows them where they stand and how well they did on the test, she also encourages them. She told the class that the final will be in 45 minutes and no peer review.

I am scatter brained tonight

I just posted a blog and completely forgot to talk about our one on one conference with Dr. Rivera. I did enjoy the feedback on how I am doing in the class. It is a positive outlook as far as this class goes. I did not do as well as I anticipated on the sert test. I was a little surprised because it seemed to be so simple. Well good night again.

Continuing my narrative essay.

I am really finding this essay to be my most challenging. My family was always on the wild side and trying to describe it in a narrative fashion is not coming to me very easy. There is much to include in a small paper, but I am up for the challenge. I had a really productice day today, and i hope it continues throughout the week. I look forward to class every week. It is my brief chance to be Heidi and not mom for a few hours. I enjoy every minute but miss them at the same time. I am rambling, and wont bore you any longer. I took B-12 this morning. Back to Class

Hey!
I'm back to class with nothing but a blank brain on what to do for my Informative essay. I think I have to many options and my mind can't decide. I need to narrow it down.
Any way it feels good to be back. I hope to have a decision before class ends.

Well, I was the second person that had a teacher-student conference. Well, my problem for this class in order for me to pass is my SERT! ahhhh I don't like that test, well I don't have much of a choice but to take it to move on from this level of English.
Other then the teacher-student conference, I'm still searching for the right topic for my narrative essay, this is taking longer than I thought, but hopefully I find the right one soon.

By the way, I won't be in class on Wednesday, September 29,2010 for I have a Tech & Dress Rehearsal for a Dance Company this Saturday, October 02, 2010. This is going to be my last concert. If you would like to attend or watch its going to be at Mercy Heights (Sister Riberta). Theirs a 2pm show and a 7:30pm or 7pm (not so sure for the night show) show.

Day 9 and 10

Well here's a quick summary of what went on Monday. I came to class dropped off crystal's paper with my corrections. Then I left early, reason for that is I'm a 19 year old college student with no car and depends on friends for transportation. So basically one friend of mine couldn't drop me home so asking another friend in the school he gets out at 8:30 and that was my only option.

As for today I'm so behind in my paper. Anyways I'll be lying when I say I'm almost done. So Lets just say I'm half way there... -_-" fail! Hopefully I'll get over my procrastination and finish up my paper and get back on track. Well that's all for now everyone have a good weekend and be safe.

Today I received revisions for my descriptive essay from Dr. Rivera. Because I was eager to get paper #1 done with I came into class early and got started. After completing paper 1 I continued to do my research for paper #2 and changed up my topic focusing in on the Head Start program. Good evening ladies and gentleman and ladiegentlemens. Today was an okay day here at my 100w class. We went straight to our computers and continue working on our essay. Today I finished my essay (WOOT!!!). I deserve some cake or something. Informative essay are not my strong areas, I'm usually the narrative essay type of guy, which will come in handy because that is the third type of essay we are set to do. I finished writing my informative essay, I'm just waiting for Dr. Rivera to send me the revised one. Other than that, ugh I can't seems to have any topic to start my narrative. It's giving my a headache just trying to find one. My life isn't that exciting from my point-of-view. Epic Fail for me. I need to think of one quick so I can start. Starting my new essay.

Well I was pretty much finished and then I lost my flash drive. I did have my rough draft so I just retyped it. I added more information which I wanted to in the first place. Class flew by I didnt even realize the time .

Today I was a little late for class! So I sat down thinking about my second topic for my next essay. I'm not to sure if I want to do the topic that I thought of.

Today, I choose my informative essay topic and started on my research regarding my topic on Early Childhood Education as I waited for my essay paper #1 to be proof read by Dr. Rivera. I choose to write my essay #2 on early childhood education because of my profession as a Head Start Teachers aide and because I can relate well with the topic. I'm so exhausted because I had work today, but it's alright because I had a good meal with my family. And I'm so happy because I passed my BLS Class For Healthcare Provider (CPR). My brother who is 16 had to have surgery . Warning for guys testitical contorsion is painful and deadly. I have guardianship of him and had to take him to the er and they had to do an immediate surgery. Sorry for missing class. I hope this is a viable excuse.

Hey guys. Its me again. Today we went online using these magical equipment called a "computer" and went to something called a "blog" and read Revising and Editing. It was about revising and editing your essay (duh, what where you expecting, donuts?). Today we went over Revising and Editing. I came a little late to class so the class was already done reading it. But, I got to read a little bit of it cause when i sat down it was already my turn. After, we had to finish our final draft. I ended up finishing it cause I just had to write a conclusion. Our other assignment was to write another essay, which I'm not looking foward to really. But, its out assignment so I just have to deal with it.

Good evening. Nice to see people back in class, even though I don't know much of you guys, nonetheless nice to see you guys. Today we went over some stuff about writing. We took turns reading out loud so everyone can hear. After reading out loud, some of us finished our first essay (good luck to you guys out there, don't give up and keep editing) while the rest of us began to write on our informative essay. Mine is about how music affects my life. I constantly listen to music 24/8, so I figured the essay would be easier to write since I have so much experience with the subject. I'm not really feeling way right now, so no jokes and stuff. I'm feeling tired too, so no more typing now.

Well anyways about today, we are starting on our informative essay and I don't know if I am lazy or just having writer's block. I can't seem to get started. Good evening ladies and gentlemen, it's time for my Mon/Wed class daily blog post. Today there were only like 6? of us (I'm too lazy to count), I don't know why half of our class wasn't here. Whatever. Today we went to our blog (yay) and talked about run on sentences. Run on sentences occur frequently in daily writing because most of us write like how we talk in which we don't completely stop but we do pause to change our tone so people can understand how we speak but it necessarily go well in writing because all your doing is going on and on in your sentence likes it's one big sentence, thus it's called a run on sentence (if you didn't get that, you didn't pay attention today) After that, I finished editing my edited essay and turned it in. We are about to start on a new essay and I picked "How music affects my life." I think it's going to be simple because music is a must in my life. Hello everyone! I know that I said in my last blog that I would tell you my grade for my descriptive essay. Unfortunately ladies and gents I was unable to receive a grade. Don't know what that means, but for now I'll just leave it to that. If Ms. Rivera has questions about why I have no grade then I'll probably act like a douche and say "I don't know, you tell me" or any wise comment (I say this now, but most likely I would say it in my head, not out loud haha). Class is over and I am trying to write in our class blog. Took too much time on revising my essay. See you guys next week.

bummed

I missed class on Monday because my two younger children were sick and I had to care for them.

Today, we reviewed common mistakes and continued on our descriptive essays and i'm actually bummed because i've lost my train of thought. I know what i will be doing over the weekend which is working on this essay.

Rainy day

Today is our first day of the month of september and the weather is so bad for me, because I don't like rainy day during the school days. In my class today we go over the Common Mistakes in Writing in class, our teacher was asked each student to read out loud each section of the common mistakes in writing page and I enjoy it because I just learn someting new today.

My second day in class..

Today was my second day in class, because I've been absent. I learned about common mistakes in writing, how to use commas, what words not to combine, and the difference between words like bad and badly. I also saw an old friend who didn't want to participate with reading out loud hehe.
